Airport Romance- Chapter 7

Kimberly

Thanks to Richard being back in LA doesn’t feel so bad, spending time with him was so much fun. It got fairly late till we got back home all thanks to me, after trying all those ice-creams we hardly had any energy to move till the time I dropped him and got home it was six in the morning. Dad saw me come home when he was leaving for his morning jog, but he didn’t ask anything and nor did I bother to tell him anything. Dad and mom have both been very patient with me, the day when I came back they both where in tears they hugged me and didn’t ask a thing, they did though complain about me not telling them that I was going to be home. We had a nice quiet family dinner that night even my brother Jacob joined us, he is still super annoying and had way too many questions for me luckily mom did put an end to his investigation, I sure did miss my family. I don’t know as of yet if I am going to stay in lA or leave after the wedding so till I come to a conclusion I am going to stay with my parents.
It is almost seven in the morning, in a few hours my friends will come over for lunch not that they wanted to, they all wanted to go to Nubu, but I am officially not ready to be dragged into the California life cycle again so I somehow managed to convince them to come home saying I would love to cook for them which is not entirely true, but I do enjoy cooking a lot and mom said she will help. I wish I was more excited about this.

I must have gotten up with the worst headache all thanks to Martha who thinks nine in the morning is the perfect time to vacuum outside my room.
“Martha can you please find another place to vacuum, I really need to sleep.”
“Hey Kim, you are up early.”
“Mom please make Martha stop and no I am not awake so please come back later.”
“Martha darling you mind coming back later Kim needs a few more minutes before she wakes up and has breakfast with her mom.” saying that mom kisses my forehead.
“Mom you are such a blackmailer, God I love you. Give me five minutes I will see you downstairs.”
“I love you more.” Saying mom leaves my room.

So he liked the Belgium chocolate not a bad choice I must say I cannot believe he ended up trying all the 31 ice-cream I was definitely not expecting that. I just love how he openly criticises my ideas, but still comes through be it eating ice-cream which his trainer is totally against him having or just blindly following the GPS location. What is this weird music playing, oh wait that is my ringtone.
“ Think of the devil and the devil calls. Hi Richard.”
“Hi Kim, so you where thinking about me?”
“Avoid, Why are you up so early? Did Martha wake you up  using the vacuum cleaner to?"
“Who is Martha and what vacuum cleaner?”
“She is maid who loves to vacuum outside my room at nine in the morning.”
“Hahhaha, So that is the reason why you are awake. No sadly Martha didn’t wake me up it was Karl, my manager. I have this workshop to attend with my costars for the movie that I am going to  start shooting next week or so.”
“Wait, so you knew you had to go for this workshop in the morning? Why did you let me drag you across town then?”
“ I absolutely loved being dragged across town and honestly I did sleep for a few hours I think I will manage to get through the day. What is your plan for the day?”
“Nothing as exciting as yours, my friends are coming over for lunch will eat breakfast in mom now and then cook for them.”
“Your cooking? Wow I wish would rather be at lunch than at this boring workshop eating set food.”
“Work comes first after all, Where is those workshop happening exactly?”
“There is some old studio on 6th street.”
“Sounds exciting, You go have fun, I need to go eat breakfast with mom before she calls me one more time.”
“Thanks Kim, Bye.”
Cooking with mom was more fun then I could remember. She is so much fun she kept singing to the tunes of the radio and before we knew it the food was ready.
“Who are you packing this food for Kim?”
“This friend of mine who couldn’t come for lunch today because of work I thought I could send him a tiffin.”
“That is a good idea, you finish here I will go up and change.”
“Okay mom.”
Even though there are ten thousand questions going on in my head like what if Richard is on a diet where he can’t eat all this ? or what if the food isn’t as delicious as mom says it is? I think I am still going to send it to him as a thank you.
“Marcus can you please come inside.”
“Yes, Kim.”
“Marcus, please drive down to 6th street and drop this tiffin for a friend of mine. As soon as you are there call this number up and ask his for the exact address. Thank you.”

Treat Others As You Want To Be Treated

My motto has always been when in doubt write it out, I have been thinking about this for a really long time and I think I have finally  found the words.  You got to do something for me, think about the last time you bumped into someone or someone by mistake hit your hand. I doubt you can recall this instance now think of the time when someone said something to you which made you feel really small or miserable. I am sure you could think of at least one or two. Look at it this way when someone bumped into you it must have hurt you that time may be it even left your skin red, got a few reactions out of you. On the other hand when someone said something to you, randomly used a few words which left no physical scar on you it is this instance that you clearly remember, you know why because it is the way they made you feel.  The sad fact is that we have all done this, we have become the generation th...

Someday, may be on a Sunday

She was standing in the corner of the room, alone as always listing to this very handsome looking gentleman playing his Trumpet. She could hear people talking around her and breaking her concentration. All she wanted was for everyone to disappear so she could be all ears, but didn't happen. Soon the trumpeter stopped playing making her sad, she hadn't heard someone play so well and she didn't want him to stop.  She decided to step outside, it was a perfect night with the stars twinkling and the cold breeze blowing. She sat on the grass and grazed at the stars.  "Do you have a lighter?" asked a man with a husky voice from the dark  she got up to acknowledge the voice noticing it was none other than the trumpeter.  "Sorry, I don't smoke" she said in a trembling tone.  He walked out and sat next to her. They both sat there looking at the stars, neither of them spoke a word. He then broke the silence ...
