Beyond The Tales by Rubina - Chapter 4

Chapter 4 

“Can you walk any faster? you are slowing me down”said Emma who can hardly control her laughter at the sight of Harman dragging his huge suitcase.
“Can’t you see I am trying?” says Harman who's face is completely pale by now. 
“Who asked you to carry a bag this huge?are you smuggling a dead body in it?”
“You know how important this trip is for me,I might have over packed in excitement.”
“Over packed is an understatement my friend.”says Emma who finally has decided to offer a hand with the bag. Harman and Emma are travelling to Melbourne, Harman is conducting a workshop there and he wants Emma to come along as he wants her to meet someone there. “Can you at least tell me who are we going to meet there? Is it Brett Lee or Shane Watson or is it ummm I don't know, who is it?
“Can’t you wait till we reach there? what is the rush?”
“You are dragging me across the globe and you won’t even tell me what this huge surprise is?”
“I am dragging you across the globe in a business class seat on my expenses and you won’t shut up already?”
“That was uncalled for but point taken”

Harman has done a few workshops before in Melbourne and this is the first one that Emma will be attending,before this every time he has asked her to come along she has given an excuse but this time he wasn't ready to hear one. The only reason Emma has never agreed is cause of her acute fear of flying which Harman is unaware of. 

“Is it me or these immigration lines look like a never ending process?”
“This is what a line for free ice-cream would look like, long and never ending.”
“Emma, you sure have this super power of bringing up ice-cream in every conversation.I hate you for that, now I am hungry.”
After finally finishing the whole process while walking towards the gate something catches Emma’s attention. “Harman hold this for me,I will be back.” saying this Emma gives Harman the books she was carrying and walks towards this old lady. 
“I can carry that for you, may I?” she asks the lady.
“oh no no, I don't wanna cause trouble.”
“Trouble you got to be kidding me,which gate are we going at?”
“At 83”
“Awesome me and my friend are going at 84,Harman what are you looking at? let’s go.”
It is this quality of Emma that Harman has always admired, she is so selfless and helpful making everyone around her feel so comfortable.

“Welcome aboard Sir,what can I offer you to drink today?” asked the air hostess who came with the welcome drinks. 
“An orange juice for me and water for the lady, please.”
“Water?why water for me? champagne sounds good.”
“Have you even seen yourself after drinking anything for that matter,nope nothing for you not until we are up in the air at least.”
“Blah, that doesn't even make sense.” by now Emma’s nervousness has reached another level and she doesn't know how to calm herself down or how to warn Harman of what is coming his way.
The seat belt sign has come on,the light in the cabin are dim now and the aircraft has started to speed up on the runway. 
All of a sudden Harman hears a scream and it is none other than Emma.
“I can’t watch this, I don't wanna die.Stop this aircraft now. Harman do something.”
“Emma you need to calm down, can you please stop yelling, calm down.”
“I can’t do this, this is not happening. I hate flying.”
“Thanks for the early revelation, okay listen lets think about something that you like, how about pizza?”
“You really think I can think about pizza right now?”
“I know you, you can do this, pizza pizza pizza.”
“Pizza pizza pizza, I can’t do this it is not working.”
“It is okay we are up in the air now,thanks for the heads up baby elephant forget about that champagne.”
All they both could do was laugh through the rest of the flight thinking about what had happen.
“Miss Emma are you sure you are going to be okay?do you want me to get you anything?”said the air hostess who is worried about Emma as the plane is soon to land.
“She will be okay, I will take good care of her.” saying this Harman holds on to Emma’s hand.
“I think I will be okay, thanks for the concern and sorry for the trouble caused.” said Emma who is super embarrassed by now.

It has been a whole day since I am back home and I haven’t managed to do anything productive, forget productive I haven’t left my bed yet.  “Hey boss, how was your vacation?” saying this Karl has entered my room. Karl I think is one person who I love and hate the most at the same time. Airport Romance - Chapter four

Chapter Three:  https://rubinac.blogspot.com/2018/03/airport-romance-chapter-three.html They say you know a person better when you travel with them and I couldn’t agree more.So on this four hour not so smooth flight from Barra to London Heathrow I have learnt these things about Kim, she is super polite with everyone, she loves to flash that big smile of hers  too everyone who passes by her which makes the other person smile too.  She could talk to anyone and everyone with no hesitation, but not the small talks kind.
